The Eternal Elegance of Domaine Jasmin
a dinner with Mannie Berk of The Rare Wine Co.
Crown Shy - 70 Pine Street, New York, NY 10005
6:30pm Champagne Philipponnat Reception | Tues. Nov 19
$1,750 + tax
A legendary name in the Northern Rhône, Jasmin was one of the earliest domaines in the region to estate-bottle and became well-known for its deft blending of eight vineyard sites, marrying the elegance of the Côte Blonde with the power of the Côte Brune, with a hint of floral Viognier for good measure. We are pleased to kick off La Tablée 2024 with this exclusive dinner featuring a mindblowing selection of some of the best vintages Jasmin ever produced back to the late 70’s. The wines, mostly in magnum, will be presented by Mannie Berk of The Rare Wine Co. and are sourced from their pristine cellars. An elegant tasting menu from Crown Shy will accompany the wines and complete this stunning evening celebration of Côte-Rôtie.
Seating is extremely limited.

The word “iconic” might be the first to come to mind when describing Jaboulet’s Hermitage cuvée “La Chapelle,” named after the chapel at the top of the monolithic hill of Hermitage supposedly built for a knight returning from the crusades. Intensely savory, supremely complex, and remarkably long-lived, these wines are some of the best ever made in the Northern Rhône. We are pleased to present an incredible lineup of some of the top vintages of the past 45 years, nearly all in magnum, paired with the cuisine of Chef Ryan Hardy at Legacy Records.

Château-Grillet - The Rare Gem of the Northern Rhône
Café Boulud, 100 East 63rd Street, New York, NY 10065
6:30pm Reception | Thur. Nov 21
$1,200 + tax
One of the smallest appellations in France and one of the few to be a monopole, Château-Grillet occupies only three and a half hectares of unique terroir situated in an imposing south-facing amphitheater within the larger appellation of Condrieu. Made entirely of Viognier, the wines have always been known for their incomparable perfume and full body. Fewer than 10,000 bottles per year are made, which makes this one of the rarest wines in the world. At this exclusive dinner, estate director Frédéric Engerer will present a fabulous array of vintages from the past decade at Château-Grillet, including the first four vintages made by the estate’s immensely talented winemaker Jae Chu. We will close with two great vintages that will show the remarkable ageability of Château-Grillet - 1974 and 1971. The wines will be paired with a tasting menu from Chefs Daniel Boulud and Romain Paumier in the stunning setting of the new Café Boulud at Maison Barnes.

Mâchon du Rhône Lunch
Boulud Sud, 20 West 64th Street, New York, NY 10023
12:00pm Champagne Philipponnat Reception | Fri. Nov 22
$275 + tax
A longtime Lyonnais tradition, the Mâchon is a convivial meal usually served in the morning featuring hearty charcuterie and other classic dishes, all washed down with lots of Rhône wine. Originally served to Lyon’s silk workers coming off the night shift, the Mâchon is now more of a pastime for lovers of Lyon’s beloved gastronomic tradition. La Tablée is thrilled to recreate a Mâchon with Chef Daniel Boulud and the cuisine of Bar Boulud, his love letter to the charcuterie and dishes of his hometown. Winemakers Julien Barrot, David Combier, Marie Giraud, and François Villard will pour wines that will perfectly complement the refined and soulful Lyon-inspired cuisine.

One of the most highly respected estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Beaucastel has existed since the mid-16th century. In 1909, the Perrin family acquired the domaine, and since then, Beaucastel’s reputation has soared ever-upwards. Jacques Perrin, the second generation at the helm, made Beaucastel a pioneer in the region, beginning to farm organically as early as 1950 and exploring biodynamics in the mid-70’s. And still today, Beaucastel does things a bit differently, blending all thirteen permitted red varieties with a particular focus on Mourvèdre. We are honored to welcome Matthieu Perrin of the fourth generation to present a superb selection of wines directly from the estate’s cellars, beginning with a trio of Beaucastel’s whites, including its extremely rare 100% Roussanne cuvée. Following a selection of top vintages of the estate red, we will close with three vintages of Beaucastel’s flagship “Hommage à Jacques Perrin” cuvée, only made in the best years. The wines will be paired with the French and Italian-inspired cuisine of Chef Andrew Carmellini at the Fifth Avenue Hotel.
